<p>Guwahati: The BJP-led Assam government is expecting major foreign collaborations in the Advantage Assam 20.0: Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025 to be organised in Guwahati on February 25 and 26.</p><p>The state government on Monday said Japan, Singapore, Bhutan, Australia, Thailand and Malaysia have already confirmed to be partner countries while Philippines, Finland, Iceland, Austria and Republic of Korea have also confirmed their participation in the two-day conclave. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, several other union ministers, industry honchos, trade bodies, representatives of several international partners are also scheduled to address the summit.</p><p>"The summit will see participation from four key bilateral agencies and three multilateral agencies highlighting Assam’s growing economic potential and strengthening global ties," said a statement issued by Assam government. </p>.Assam to host business summit in February, PM Modi to inaugurate.<p>Bilateral agencies such as the US - India Business Council, India – New Zealand Business Council (INZBC), UAE- India Business Council (UIBC), Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in India have also confirmed their participation while confirmation follow up from either more bilateral agencies is taken up.</p><p>The summit will discuss opportunities in key sectors such as tourism, renewable energy and hydrocarbons, electronics and semiconductor, aerospace and defence manufacturing, fragrance and flavours, mobility and logistics, bamboo & sustainable harvest and food and beverages. </p><p>There will be 20 thematic sessions which will bring together industry leaders, subject matter experts, and government officials to discuss key growth opportunities. Sessions will focus on healthcare, green gold revolution, tourism, start-ups, and other transformative themes, fostering strategic collaborations.</p><p>With Assam almost overcoming two of its major problems, insurgency and agitation, the state is now pushing hard to attract investments for development and more jobs. </p>
