<p>The BJP on Sunday announced that it will field Union minister S S Ahluwalia from the Burdwan-Durgapur Lok Sabha seat.</p>.<p>Ahluwalia, a sitting MP from the Darjeeling seat, was not fielded by his party from the constituency.</p>.<p>Thanking the BJP leadership, Ahluwalia said that he spent a large part of his student life in the area and was a student activist at Burdwan University.</p>.<p>" I spent a large part of my student life here and was a student activist at Burdwan University. Being a candidate from here has given a an opportunity to serve the people of this place," Ahluwalia said.</p>
