Coronavirus vaccine highlights: Nearly 20 lakh given Covid-19 vaccine doses in India

An Economic Times report revealed that Tata Medical & Diagnostics had initiated talks with Moderna to bring its Covid-19 vaccine to India. Meanwhile, India logged 13,203 new infections and saw 131 succumb to the deadly virus. Moderna said that their Covid-19 vaccine is expected to be protective against new variants. Merck ends Covid-19 vaccine program, citing inferior immune responses. France's Pasteur Institute also abandoned their Covid-19 vaccine project.
