. India's Subject Expert Committee on Monday have approved Russia's Covid-19 vaccine Sputnik V for emergency use, sources told Deccan Herald . The approval comes in the midst of an acute vaccine shortage that have states writing to the Central government as stocks run low.

. Each of these medical facilities will have a capacity of 2,000 beds, including 200 ICU beds and 70 per cent oxygen beds, and they will be set up at three different locations in the city.

. Registering a steady increase for the 33rd day in a row, the active cases increased to 12,01,009 comprising 8.29 per cent of the total infections, while the recovery rate further dropped to 90.44 per cent, the ministry said.
