Cyclone Nivar highlights: Another low pressure in Bay of Bengal, likely to intensify into depression
Powerful Cyclone Nivar, packing estimated wind speeds of 120 to 130 kmph, made its landfall as a very severe cyclonic storm near Puducherry coast in the wee hours of Thursday. In its latest updates, IMD said that severe cyclonic storm Nivar expected to move northwest and weaken into a cyclonic storm in districts of south-interior Karnataka.
