Despite Karunanidhi’s criticism, why does DMK have ties with Congress: AIADMK

Chennai: AIADMK Rajya Sabha MP I S Inbadurai on Friday asked why the DMK continued ties with the Congress, though its late leader M Karunanidhi severely criticised the grand old party.

Apparently annoyed over Chief Minister M K Stalin targeting the AIADMK for reviving electoral ties with the BJP recently, the AIADMK's advocates’ wing secretary observed, “Karunanidhi was the one who severely criticised the party’s electoral arrangement with the Congress, saying that ‘a bad friendship will only end in disaster (kooda natpu kedai mudiyum).”

In a post on the social media platform X, Inbadurai asked, “Why does the DMK have an alliance with such a Congress. Respond @mkstalin.”
