<p>As per reports, many agencies are exploiting loopholes in the US visa process for EB-1 visas to and getting it done by hook or crook.</p><p>For the layman's knowledge, known as the ‘Einstein Visa’, the EB-1 category is reserved for an “outstanding professor or researcher” or a professional with “extraordinary abilities”.</p><p>As per norms, EB-1 Visa requires a very strict documentation process, but agents have found loopholes in it and are exploiting it to the hilt. </p><p>With the present scenario under Donald Trump's administration, visa rules have been tightened. </p><p>However, agents have found ways to trick the immigration process by offering like writing your research paper, getting you into peer review boards and most importantly helping you win an award to give your visa application an edge.</p><p>With fraudulent practices endorsed by agencies undermining the legitimacy of the system, individuals who are deserving and have the potential of getting the visa without external means are denied opportunities.</p><p>“The EB-1 programme was created to facilitate the migration of globally distinguished individuals, scientists, artists, and scholars based on proven and peer-recognised excellence. When this standard is diluted through fraudulent representations, it not only undermines the legitimacy of the system, but unfairly penalises genuinely qualified applicants whose profiles may become subject to suspicion by association,” said Dharminder Singh Kaleka, advisor for strategy and external relations at Closed Door Policy Consulting.</p>
