<p>Mumbai: Goa is not a land of indulgence but a divine land for self-realisation, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said. </p><p>“People used to visit Goa to enjoy the sea, the sand and the sun, but now, they visit the State to experience the Indian culture,” Dr Sawant said at the Sanatan Rashtra Shankhnad Mahotsav being held at the Infinity Maidan in Goa Engineering College, Farmagudi to celebrate 83rd birthday of Dr Jayant Balaji Athavale and silver jubilee of Sanatan Sanstha. </p><p>"The Sanatan culture and the Shankhnad Mahotsav will revitalise the state’s economy and boost cultural tourism. For the past 25 years, Sanatan Sanstha has been playing a crucial role in propagating Hindu Dharma. Its treasure trove of spiritual Texts has inspired the youth and will continue to guide generations for the next 100 years. Sanatan Sanstha has undoubtedly emerged as the beacon of hope for reviving drama,” the Goa CM said. </p> .<p>Union Minister of State for Tourism and Ports, Shipping and Waterways of India Shripad Naik, who hails from Goa, said: “The foundation of the Sanatan Rashtra is being laid in Goa, a historic milestone. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and ‘Dharmaveer’ Sambhaji Maharaj sanctified the land of Goa. Despite being subject to brutal atrocities by invaders, the Hindus of Goa preserved and preserved the essence of Sanatan Dharma. The Shankhnad for a Sanatan Rashtra in this Holy land is an auspicious sign.
