Rajya Sabha member Sasikala Pushpa on Sunday claimed that the home ministry has ordered to take action against the “suspicious death” of late Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa.

The expelled leader from the ruling AIADMK in the state had recently met Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi and submitted a memorandum seeking a CBI enquiry into the case. “The home minister has directed the Department of Personal and Training — an administrative authority of the CBI — to take appropriate action in the suspicious death of then chief minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa on the midnight of December 5, 2016,” Pushpa said in a statement after attaching the copy of the letter from the office.
