It's official! P V Sindhu gets engaged to Venkata Datta Sai

Days after news of P V Sindhu's marriage came out, the ace shuttler put a ring on it leaving her fans scrolling through social media to get a glimpse of her engagement pictures.

In a post on Instagram, Sindhu shared a picture from the ceremony and quoted Khalil Gibran in the caption that read: “When love beckons to you, follow him, for love gives naught but itself.”

"Miss to Mrs", read the banner in the background as the couple was seen sharing laughter in the photograph. P V Sindhu wore a black dress while her fiance kept it casual in shirt and jeans.

The comment section of the post which already has over 350K likes in less than 24 hours, is flooded with well wishes for the two.

The two-time Olympic medallist shuttler is set to tie the knot on December 22 in Udaipur.

"The two families knew each other but it was only a month ago that everything was finalised. This was the only possible window as her schedule will be hectic from January," Sindhu's father, PV Ramana, told PTI.

Sindhu is regarded as one of India's greatest athletes with five world championship medals, including a gold in 2019, besides her silver and bronze at the Olympic Games.

The champion badminton player won back-to-back Olympic medals at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, and achieved a career-high world ranking of No. 2 in 2017.

Meanwhile, Venkata Sai Dutta is the current Executive Director of Posidex Technologies, an Enterprise Information Insights and Analytics company, as well as the Managing Director and co-owner of Sour Apple Asset Management, a firm that offers portfolio management and financial advisory services.
