<p>The army jawan, who has emerged as the key suspect in the killing of a police inspector in mob frenzy in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr, has been detained by his unit in Sopore area of north Kashmir on Saturday.</p>.<p>According to sources, Jitendra Malik alias Jeetu Fauji was detained by the 22 Rashtriya Rifles in Sopore town on Friday night and was subsequently handed over to a special investigation team (SIT) of the Uttar Pradesh Police.</p>.<p>Jeetu Fauji, who is posted in Srinagar, was in his hometown Bulandshahr on a 15-day leave when the mob violence took place. </p>.<p>Sources said he fled from Bulandshahr the same evening inspector Subodh Kumar Singh and a civilian were killed and reached Sopore.
