NIA searches multiple locations in Jharkhand’s Giridih in CPI (Maoist)-linked case

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday searched multiple locations in Jharkhand’s Giridih district in a CPI (Maoist)-related case, reported news agency ANI.

In a release, the agency said, "NIA teams extensively searched the houses and other premises of suspects and over ground workers (OGWs). They teams seized several mobile phones and sim cards which are currently under examination."

"This comes after the arrest of Krishna Hansda, a Naxal cadre of the proscribed terrorist organisation CPI (Maoist). Handa was arrested in June 2023," the release added.

The probe in the case is still continuing.
