Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over growing unemployment in the country.
He tweeted this in light of a Business Standard report that cited unemployment data from an NSSO report that is yet to be published. According to the report, the rate, at 6.1% has reached a 45-year high.
Rahul began his Tweet with a pun — 'NoMoJobs' — and added, "The Fuhrer promised us 2 Cr jobs a year. 5 years later, his leaked job creation report card reveals a National Disaster."
NoMo Jobs!

The Fuhrer promised us 2 Cr jobs a year. 5 years later, his leaked job creation report card reveals a National Disaster.
Unemployment is at its highest in 45 yrs.
6.5 Cr youth are jobless in 2017-18 alone.
Time for NoMo2Go. #HowsTheJobs pic.twitter.com/nbX4iYmsiZ
The survey has become a political issue after the acting chairman and another member of the body that reviewed the job data resigned saying there was a delay in its release. Many are now using the hashtag '#HowsTheJobs' and sharing the story. The hashtag is derived from a dialogue from the film 'Uri: The Surgical Strike'. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Manohar Parrikar, all have used the film’s line — ‘How’s the Josh?’ at public events and thus popularized it.
Since the publishing of the report, Congress has stepped up their efforts to attack BJP. Here are some of the responses.

Unemployment rate is at a 45-year high.
This is why the NSSO Report was kept under the wraps.
This is why members of NSC resigned.
Promise of 2Cr Jobs turned out to be a cruel joke!
India does not want a Govt that has left the future of our youth in jeopardy. pic.twitter.com/s4yjYKfIsx
While the youth of the country demand jobs, the PM is busy quoting dialogues from movies.

At the time of publishing of the story, no response has come yet from predictable quarters such as former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. Swarajya magazine editor R. Jagannathan tried to defend the government but was ridiculed by Twitter users.
A higher hunger rate, means more people are actively looking for food. This is a half positive indicating............ https://t.co/ZowRt4loxl

"Higher unemployment rate indicates more people are actively looking for work. This is half positive" .. as opposed to unemployed people not looking for work and enjoying their starvation? 😂😂 https://t.co/8yM6QBYsjc

Piyush Goyal, the current Finance Minister retweeted this Tweet from the verified BJP account in which they dismissed the BS report as fake news and said that according to the EPFO data, several more jobs have been created.
It's clear that he has inherited Mussolini's shortsightedness and has myopic understanding of issues.
— BJP (@BJP4India) January 31, 2019
EPFO's real data shows sharp increase in jobs, created in just the last 15 months.
Only a man who hasn't ever held a proper job & is totally jobless can peddle such #FakeNews! https://t.co/T0DHUs7IdZ
This is a developing story and will be updated with more responses.
