40-day cricket coaching camp from April 8

Robin Singh Cricket Academy, with whom MAHE had recently signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding), in association with Udupi District Cricket Association will organise the first coaching camp in Manipal from April 8.

The Academy will begin the 40-day coaching camp at MAHE Cricket grounds in End Point. MAHE Pro Chancellor Dr H S Ballal said the former Indian cricketer is successfully running cricket Academies in Chennai and Dubai.

The Udupi District Cricket Association was established in the year 2012 and is actively involved in promoting cricket in this area by conducting regular cricket coaching camps, seminars for umpires, coaches, scorers and organising cricket tournaments for boys of different age categories.

The main objective of the camp is to encourage budding cricketing talents and to improve cricket at the grassroots level in the coastal belt area and to produce good cricketers.

The Assessments (individual), Corrections through skill development drills, high performance fielding sessions, special sessions on throwing sessions, net sessions, task-oriented net sessions, match simulation drills, high performance sessions by star cricketers (Former and current India, Domestic and Ranji Players) will be part of the camp activities.

During the summer camp, the trainees will be sensitised about the importance of maintaining mental, physical fitness and healthy diet, an important aspect of Cricket. The sessions on physical fitness will be taken by the qualified trainers, mental fitness and health diet session will be taken by the external resource persons who are experts in those areas.
