<p>Mangaluru: A man was allegedly robbed of a gold ingot weighing 350 grams and valued at Rs 35 lakh near Mangaluru Central Railway Station on Wednesday morning.</p><p>According to the complaint lodged by Srihari, a jewellery shop owner, six accused approached him around 7 am while he was waiting for an auto. Claiming to be customs officials, they ordered him to accompany them for an inspection. The accused then forcibly pushed him into a car.</p>.'Religious heads should create awareness on communal harmony,' says Karnataka minister Dinesh Gundu Rao.<p>The complainant said that the six men allegedly took the gold ingot from him and later dropped him near Antravalli village on the Kumta–Sirsi road before fleeing the scene. Mangaluru South Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.</p>
