ACB raids continue in Karnataka

Officials from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted raids on the residences of Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF) Chandragouda S Patil early on Saturday.

Patil is under the ACB radar for allegedly amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.

ACB sleuths led by SP Amarnath Reddy conducted simultaneous raids on the office and residence of the official at three places in Belagavi, Bailhongal and Khanapur.

The officials are searching Patil's residence at Ramateerth Nagar in Belagavi, office in Khanapur and the residences of his close relatives in Bailhongal.

On Friday, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had recovered Rs 5.25 crore in cash, around 4.5 kg gold and 10 kg of silver from two government officials.
