Adopt balanced, consultative approach on RSS: Pejawar seer

Udupi: Pejawar mutt seer Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swami has urged the Karnataka government to adopt a “balanced and consultative” approach while considering opinions related to the proposed ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Responding to minister Priyank  Kharge’s remarks suggesting action against the RSS, the Swamiji said that everyone has the right to express their opinion. However, he emphasised that the chief minister should consult all stakeholders before arriving at a decision.

“The RSS, true to its name, has been serving the nation selflessly for the last hundred years. We must recognise the contribution of RSS to the country, especially during natural calamities. No one can deny its service to society,” he said. In any system, mistakes are natural, but they must be discussed and corrected through constructive review, the seer opined.
