<p>The Robert Bosch Art Grant is a part of a three pronged plan of the Bosch foundation, which also involves improving literacy levels through workshops and healthy dialogues between communities.<br /><br />The ten recipients were chosen from over 70 applications. One of the awardees, the Attakkalari Dance Institute had Jay Chandran Palazhy as a representative, who said: “True art unifies the mind, body and spirit making us all equals on this grand stage. With the money won I plan to push the Attakkalari Dance Institute to scale new heights by recruiting raw talent and sculpting them into professionals.” <br /><br />Another awardee, Raghu A Wodeyar said : “Art is a precarious and challenging occupation where we always are judged, making us vulnerable. Therefore the money awarded will not only serve as an incentive for me to work harder but also a security that would allow me to rid myself of the day to demands of living and concentrate completely on art.”</p>
