Bannerghatta Biological Park cheers birth of new calf

Roopa, a 15-year-old elephant, gave birth to a female calf on December 11.

The birth of a new calf last week has taken the number of elephants in the Bannerghatta Biological Park to 25.

Roopa, a 15-year-old elephant, gave birth to a female calf on December 11. BBP officials said the newborn is Roopa's third calf, after Gowri (2016) and Basava (2020).
