<p>Bengaluru: A 25-year-old engineer with a private firm in Bengaluru was found dead in southeastern Bengaluru, officials said on Monday.</p>.<p>The deceased, Nikhil Somwanshi, worked as a Machine Learning Engineer with Krutrim, the Artificial Intelligence unit of Ola.</p>.<p>The police said that Somwanshi’s body was found in Agara Lake in HSR Layout on May 8. An Unnatural Death Report (UDR) has been registered by the HSR Layout police. "No foul play is suspected,” the police said.</p>.<p>The death came to light on Saturday after an anonymous Reddit user posted about it, claiming it was due to “work pressure”. This prompted Krutrim to release a statement.</p>.<p><strong>Company's statement </strong></p>.<p>“We are deeply saddened by the tragic passing of one of our most talented young employees, Nikhil, on the 8th of May. Our thoughts and heartfelt sympathies are with his family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time,” a Krutrim spokesperson said.</p>.<p>"Nikhil was on personal leave at the time of the incident. He had reached out to his manager on the 8th of April, expressing that he needed rest, and was promptly granted personal time off. Later, on the 17th of April, he shared that he was feeling better but would benefit from additional rest, and his leave was extended accordingly.”</p>
