<p>Bengaluru: Akshar Yoga Kendraa created history on International Yoga Day recently in Bengaluru by successfully setting 12 new Guinness World Records. </p><p>The event was inaugurated by Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh, Dr Sri Shivarudra Mahaswamiji of Beli Mutt, Karnataka. Some of the other dignitaries present at the event were Jose Mohan, Inspector General, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF); Chetan R, Commissioner, Youth and Sports, Government, Angad Pratap , Group Captain and ISRO Astronaut Designate, B Ramesh, Joint CP Bengaluru East and Akshay Machinda IPS.</p>.<p>The record-setting celebration witnessed the participation of over 2,500 practitioners from 30 plus countries, including Taiwan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Italy, USA, UK, Dubai, Cyprus, and Singapore. The diverse gathering included Indian Army, Air Force, Karnataka State Police, NCC cadets, specially-abled individuals, children from orphanages, as well as members of the corporate, business, and global yoga community. </p><p>Participants held a series of advanced and foundational asanas and yogic sequences for durations ranging from 30 seconds to several minutes. </p>
