The expectations of the colony residents to finally see the work, came nothing short of utter disappointment. As a result, the residents have to take a detour. The residents of the colony had made repeated representations to the corporator and the local MLA but in vain. Roopa, who had initially refused to visit the spot even on Sunday (Nov 21), finally visited after media questioned her. Blaming official lethargy for the delay in the completion of the stormwater drain project, Roopa promised to take up the work on Monday but it was just a “promise”.</p>
