BJP will sweep 2018 polls, says Shobha Karandlaje

Last Updated 07 May 2018, 20:36 IST

The BJP has prepared well for the elections and there will not be a coalition this time, party MP Shobha Karandlaje told a press conference at the Press Club.

People are waiting for change as the Congress government does not confidently declare what progress has been made, she said. “Their leaders are either unreachable or confined to their constituencies.”

The response to the rallies of BJP national president Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who are respectively addressing 30 and 21 meetings in the state, is evidence of the kind of support the party has been getting, Shobha said, asserting that the BJP would get a clear majority in this election.

She also clarified that the replacement for the Jayanagar constituency following the death of the candidate and sitting MLA will be announced at an appropriate time as the party is in shock.
