BWSSB introduces EMI option for Cauvery water connection

Bengaluru: The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) is introducing an EMI option for Cauvery water connections to help apartment owners who are unable to make a lump-sum payment to the government.

BWSSB Chairman Ram Prasath Manohar V announced on Monday that the initiative follows directions from Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.

The EMI scheme will be launched after April 15, with registrations open for around two months. Under this initiative, residents can pay for their Cauvery water connection in monthly instalments over a 12-month period.

Terms & conditions

Among the key conditions, 20% of the total amount should be paid upfront. The remaining 80% can be paid over 12 months. Only apartment associations and individual house/building owners are eligible for the EMI option.
