<p>The state government has a prepared a draft amendment to the Karnataka On-demand Transportation Technology Aggregators Rules, 2016, on disengaging child locks in cabs, the high court was informed on Wednesday. </p>.<p>The Law Department is vetting the draft amendment and will send its report by October 10. Once that comes, the amendment will be notified, the government advocate told a division bench headed by Chief Justice Dinesh Maheshwari. </p>.<p>The bench is hearing a public interest litigation (PIL) petition filed by the Bangalore Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which has called for disengaging the child lock following crimes against women travelling by cabs. </p>.<p>The court expressed disappointment over repeated adjournments as the state sought extensions. It will now hear the matter on October 10.</p>
