<p>Bengaluru: Scientific institutions across Bengaluru are celebrating National Science Day (NSD) 2025 with open days, offering the public a chance to explore science exhibits, demonstrations, and interactive sessions.</p>.<p>Observed annually on February 28, NSD commemorates the discovery of the Raman Effect by Sir C V Raman.</p>.<p>This year’s theme, set by the Department of Science and Technology, is 'Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for Viksit Bharat'. </p>.Bengaluru to host GAFX summit this week .<p>At RRI</p>.<p>RRI will open its doors to the public from 10 am to 4 pm on Friday.</p>.<p>"Experience captivating science experiments, engaging demonstrations, interactions with RRI scientists, and an exploration of our institute’s rich legacy," RRI announced on social media.</p>.<p>At IISc</p>.<p>Meanwhile, IISc will hold its Open Day on Satueday, aligning it with NSD as well as the birth anniversary of its founder, JN Tata (March 3). The campus will be open from 9 am to 5 pm for visitors.</p>.<p>"On Open Day, students and researchers will showcase their work alongside exciting advancements in science and engineering. The event will also feature popular lectures, panel discussions, quizzes, and competitions across various departments and centres," IISc said in a press release.</p>.<p>To facilitate movement within the campus, IISc has arranged e-rickshaws and set up help desks at multiple locations. Visitors, especially those with young children, are advised to exercise caution due to ongoing construction in certain areas.</p>.<p>At IIA</p>.<p>Indian Institute of Astrophysics’ (IIA) Open Day is scheduled for Sunday, with the campus open from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm. The event will showcase astronomy and astrophysics through talks, demonstrations, stalls, posters, and models. The IIA Archives will also exhibit rare scientific artifacts dating back 230 years. Guided tours in Kannada will be conducted at regular intervals.</p>
