<p>Bengaluru: The city police have arrested two notorious criminals with a combined record of 100 cases, including robbery and dacoity, across more than 30 police stations.</p>.<p>The Jayanagar police apprehended Mohammed Zabiuddin alias Tabrez, 39, a rowdy-sheeter, and his accomplice Mohammad Mehtab, 34. The duo, former college classmates from South Bengaluru, turned to chain snatching and robbery after their studies to make quick money, the police said.</p>.Advocate hacked to death by brother over property dispute.<p>Their criminal history is extensive — courts had issued 36 non-bailable warrants (NBWs) and 16 proclamations against Zabiuddin, while Mehtab had 19 NBWs and 11 proclamations.</p>.<p>A senior officer stated that both were arrested in 2023, but released on bail, after which they resumed their crimes.</p>.<p>"To avoid capture, they never stayed in one place, checking into different hotels daily. They had been on the run for the past two years,” an investigator told <em>DH</em>.</p>.<p>On February 21, the police received a tip-off about their whereabouts and arrested them at a hotel in Frazer Town, East Bengaluru.</p>.<p>Commending the Jayanagar police, Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda awarded the team a cash prize of Rs 25,000.</p>
