Bengaluru police rolls out ‘Safe Connect’ feature for emergency video calls

Bengaluru: The city police has introduced 'Safe Connect', a new feature within the KSP Mobile App, to strengthen public safety and improve police-citizen coordination.

Launched on July 6, 2025, by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, the system offers a two-way audio-video communication channel for emergency situations.

The feature enables citizens to make video calls directly to the Safe City Command Centre, sharing their live location. This real-time visual and location data helps the police assess the situation and dispatch the nearest Hoysala patrol unit.

The platform also allows users to stream live video and report incidents, providing immediate information to the command centre.
