<p>A cricket coach has been arrested for sexually harassing a 13-year-old boy trainee of his academy.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The suspect, identified as Naseer, runs the Ace Cricket Academy in Jalahalli and is a resident of Vidyaranyapura, the police said. He has been produced before a magistrate and remanded to judicial custody.</p>.<p class="bodytext">According to police, the incident took place on Saturday at around 6.30 pm at the GKVK campus.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Naseer had picked victim in his Maruthi Omni car from his academy for a match at a ground on the university campus.</p>.<p class="bodytext">On their way back after the match, Naseer stopped the car at a secluded spot on the campus and started inappropriately touching the boy's private parts.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He then made the victim touch his privates, the police said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The perturbed minor disclosed his coach's misdemeanours to his parents after reaching home.</p>.<p class="bodytext">His parents approached the Yelahanka police on Sunday morning and lodged a complaint. The parents also told the police that the coach had taken their son into confidence by promising him to prepare for an IPL league.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Naseer has been booked under sections 8 and 13 of Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Serial offender</p>.<p class="bodytext">A source from sports department said Naseer had been cast out of a reputed school for the same reason around six years ago.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He has also been accused of other irregularities such as fielding over-aged players in inter-school tournaments.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) was aware of this coach's illegal activities and sexual predation. Yet, the association turned a blind eye and allowed him to start a cricket academy in Jalahalli, sources added.</p>
