<p>Bengaluru: The Department of Horticulture, in collaboration with the Women and Child Development Department, is hosting a flower show at Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Cubbon Park, from November 29 to December 2.</p>.<p>This three-day event aims to introduce children to the latest developments in science and technology, while also emphasising the importance of protecting flora and fauna.</p>.<p>G Kusuma, Deputy Director of Horticulture (Lalbagh), shared with DH that over one lakh cut flowers and approximately 20,000 pots will be used to decorate various structures throughout the event.</p>.A month into BBMP’s feeding plan, few stray dogs continue to stay feisty.<p>“We will use cut flowers like chrysanthemums, roses, orchids, and gerberas to create floral sculptures of animals such as elephants, ants, and dinosaurs,” Kusuma explained. “Additionally, floral representations of missiles and robots will be special attractions for the children.”</p>.<p>The estimated cost of the flower show is Rs 40 lakh, with Rs 26 lakh dedicated solely to purchasing the flowers. The remaining funds have been allocated for the preparation of structures and manpower.</p>
