<p>Bengaluru: The Bengaluru City Customs Commissionerate destroyed drugs worth an estimated Rs 36.08 crore as part of a crackdown on smuggling and illicit drug trade, officials said on Monday.</p>.<p>A total of 11.997 kilograms of banned substances, including cocaine and ganja, were incinerated on January 24.</p>.33-year-old man, a subject of drug testing, found dead in Bengaluru.<p>The operation was conducted under the Drug Disposal Campaign initiated by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) to combat drug smuggling and its illegal distribution.</p>.<p>Commending the officers involved, the Customs Commissioner called the initiative a "definite and significant step" in tackling drug trafficking and curbing widespread drug abuse. The commissioner also termed as important maintaining heightened vigilance and continuing the fight against the drug menace.</p>
