As many as 20 senior specialists were not absorbed for reasons best known to the department. <br /><br />Two doctors have filed a case against irregular absorption. As per the latest hearing, the court has found out that the Cadre and Recruitment Rules were flouted during the recruitment process.<br /><br />Such irregularities have come to light after Bangalore Medical College and several hospitals under it were declared autonomous. <br /><br />"Many specialists are my juniors without any teaching experience. Experienced specialists have been let down,” said a doctor at Department of Health and Family Welfare, working in the hospital .<br /><br />Dean and Director of Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute Dr G T Subhash clarified that recruitment was done as per the MCI guidelines. <br /><br />The doctors absorbed were already deputed from Department of Health and Family Welfare to Department of Medical Education, hence the flouting the eligibility norms does not arise. Moreover, the doctors have been appointed as assistant professors as per the government orders,” he said. <br /><br />Besides Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital has proposed to have a separate Trauma Care Centre and have already recruited 28 Causality Medical Officers.</p>
