Blame it on the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board’s (BWSSB) negligence or the sheer lack of infrastructure, the stench on the stretch made it unbearable for pedestrians and travellers.

“My trousers are dirtied as a speeding car splashed the sewage on me. I took this road as I had to attend a wedding at Frazer Town,” said a highly disappointed Shariq.

Citizens also told Deccan Herald that overflowing sewage has become a routine affair on this stretch. The problem is accentuated when it rains.

However, the BWSSB officers were not unavailable for comment. Several attempts to contact them went in vain.
