<p>City-based jewellery brand Aashirs had launched a 'Therapeutic Beading Program', jointly with NGO Seva-In-Action. </p><p>It will conclude on Saturday with an exhibition of jewellery made by persons with intellectual disabilities. </p><p>The programme teaches jewellery making to persons with intellectual disabilities, and aims to provide a sustainable livelihood through jewellery making, while doubling up as therapy to improve their concentration, motor skills, and overall well-being.</p><p>The initiative has currently trained 15 individuals. After the training process, the attendees should be able to work at a workshop, create jewellery, and earn a livelihood. Raw materials and designs for making these pieces are provided by the brand. </p><p>Aashirs’s goal is to expand the programme to 50-60 people in 2025, says a press note. </p><p>The concluding ceremony will be held on March 1, 11 am at SIA (Koramangala), with Sri Das Suryavamshi, state commissioner, Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, Government of Karnataka, attending.</p><p><em>Event is free.
