It’s the ‘World Environment Day’ and youngsters in the City have an array of plans for the same.

However, they feel that just one day in a year does not make any difference to the environment. Hence, their advice to people is to lead an eco-friendly life throughout the year. And it’s not like they are preaching without practising.

Be it cycling to college or designing a rainwater harvesting system for their homes, they surely have set an example for many.

With Bangalore slowly losing its green cover and getting hotter by the day, these youngsters feel that it’s high time we plant more trees, segregate garbage, make compost out of wet waste and get our vehicles tested regularly for emission.

Another important message they want to convey is that of the three R’s — Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
