Guard's death creates tension

Kumar (17) died under mysterious circumstances. He was allegedly drunk when he died.

Kumar’s parents claimed he died as a few doctors beat him up. They opposed the post mortem at the College hospital. Later, the body was taken to Bowring Hospital for post mortem, said the KG Halli police.

Kumar was on night duty on Tuesday. He went to bed after consuming liquor. He did not wake up when the doctors tried waking him up. Later, they poured water on him. A shocked Kumar got up and slapped a doctor. The other doctors lost their cool, thrashed Kumar and threw him out of the campus, said the sources in the police department. It is said that Kumar again consumed liquor before going home. He died minutes after reaching home.
