Hakay Akshay Machindra appointed DCP Crime 1 of Bengaluru City

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government on Tuesday transferred IPS officer Hakay Akshay Machindra, appointing him as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Crime 1, Bengaluru City.

Machindra previously served as Deputy Commandant General of the Home Guards and Ex-officio Deputy Director of Civil Defence. R Srinivas Gowda, DCP, Crime 2, had also been overseeing Crime 1, which had been vacant following the transfer of Abdul Ahad.
