<p>More than 300 employees and their families took part in the ‘Income Tax Run’ organised on Sunday morning by the Income Tax Department, Karnataka and Goa.<br /><br />The run, held ahead of the 157th ‘Income Tax Day’ celebrations on Monday, was flagged off at 6 am by Reeth Abraham, Arjuna awardee and former South Asian Games champion. <br /><br />Rajnish Kumar, Principal Chief Commissioner of the department, took part in the run which started at Central Revenue (CR) Building, Queen’s Road. <br /><br />Children from Sneha Care Home, a residential programme for those infected with HIV, took part in the 5K open run. <br /><br />There was also a 3K run for men and women aged over 40 years. <br /><br />157th Income Tax Day<br />On Monday, the department will organise a programme to celebrate the 157th Income Tax Day. <br /><br />Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court Subhro Kamal Mukherjee and actor Puneeth Rajkumar will be the guests at the event, which will be held at CR Building, Queen’s Road.</p>
