<p>Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Monday extended the stay order on the May 28, 2025, re-tender notification (Request for Proposal) for solid waste management in the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).</p><p>Justice M Nagaprasanna extended the stay by a week while directing the review petitioner to file a response to the statement filed by the state government.</p><p>The court is hearing a review petition filed by the Bengaluru Mahanagara Swachate Mattu Lorry Malikara Hagoo Gutthigedarara Sangha, alleging a breach of the undertaking given by the advocate general, which was recorded in the earlier round of litigation.</p>.BBMP bets big on stone matrix asphalt for flyover repairs.<p>During the hearing on Monday, Advocate General Shashikiran Shetty submitted that the scope of the November 7, 2024, tender notification, approved by the court in the previous round of litigation, and the May 28, 2025, re-tender notification are different and independent of each other.</p><p>He further assured the court that the November 7, 2024, tender notification would be implemented in terms of the High Court order dated April 22, 2025.</p><p>On the other hand, the counsel for the review petitioners submitted that the November 7, 2024, tender was closed on January 23, 2025, by stating that there were no bidders, and this was not brought to the notice of the court.</p><p>The court adjourned the hearing to July 7, permitting the review petitioners to file a response to the statement filed by the state government.</p>
