Lack of toilets in Metro rail stations

The BBMP Commissioner M Lakshminarayana will write a letter to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited to set up toilets in its stations.

The BMRCL came in for severe criticism for its shortsightedness and apathetic attitude towards the passengers.

Raising the issue, Congress corporator from Jayamahal M K Gunashekar said: “Lack of toilets at the Metro stations is a gross violation of human rights. You (Commissioner) being one of the board members of the BMRCL should raise the matter with the BMRCL Managing Director.”

Taking note of the suggestion, Lakshminarayana agreed to discuss the matter with the Metro Rail officials.
