<p>The Kannada litterateurs on Monday had a detailed discussion at the Pampa Hall of the Parishath where they took a unanimous decision that there is no need for Sanskrit-Veda University in the State when there are number of such universities across India. <br /><br />The newly established Kannada Vishvavidyalaya at Hampi can be assigned the job of promoting Sanskrit and Veda. <br /><br />Wastage of money<br /><br />The Parishath members were also of the belief that it is nothing but a wastage of public money on a language which is not in use among public. <br /><br />Thus the government should withdraw its decision of setting up the Sanskrit-Veda Vishvavidyalaya.</p>
