On a sombre note

New Year's Eve is always welcomed in high spirits and literally at that. Most celebrities who have been working non-stop throughout the year say that they would rather spend their time at home and welcome the New Year on a quiet note.

But that doesn’t mean that they are saying no to partying. They are all set to party safe. This is the message they intend to send out to a lot of youngsters as well.

Vishnu Manchu, actor: “The year 2014 has been a momentous one for me and I’ve got a lot of appreciation from the audience. I hope my new films in 2015 will gain even more recognition. ​I am shooting on the New Year’s Eve for my new film and between the shoot, I want to grab some time, to be with​ my​ twins.”​

Sonu Sood, actor: “I will be spending the New Year’s Eve at Shah Rukh Khan’s residence in Dubai. I don’t really believe in resolutions and I also think youngsters must not make resolutions and break them the next minute. Instead, they must give their best shot at everything.”

Raveena Tandon, actress: “We are planning to head out to a friend’s beach house in Alibagh where we will have a house party. It’s more like a family-oriented bash where each of one us will be just lazing around and doing nothing for a change. Sadly, I find that there are some people who are trying to disrupt the peace and stability of the country but I urge people not to get carried away with all of that and work towards building a peaceful nation.”  

Amrita Rao, actress: “I believe a positive start to anything results in overall happiness. Hence, I hope to work towards ushering the New Year with loads of laughter, good food and quality time with people who make me happy. I am headed to Goa for the New Year’s Eve where we will be celebrating my mother’s birthday on January 1. The strongest message that I want to send out to young people is to party within limits and not indulge in any untoward acts.”
