<p>Bengaluru: Your cab ride to Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) is set to get more expensive.</p>.<p>And so will be the ride on the two operational stretches of Bengaluru's Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR). </p>.<p>Starting April 1, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will increase user fees (toll charges) for the Sadahalli (KIA road, NH 7), Hulikunte, and Nalluru Devanahalli (both STRR, NH 648) toll plazas. </p>.<p>The increase is an annual exercise linked to the Wholesale Price Index (WPI). </p>.Chicken, mutton prices to soar during festivals in Bengaluru.<p>Cars, jeeps, vans and other light motor vehicles passing through Sadahalli (22.12 km) will pay Rs 120 for a single journey and Rs 180 for a return journey within a day. A monthly pass for 50 single journeys will cost Rs 3,970. The existing rates are Rs 115, Rs 170 and Rs 3,835. </p>.<p>Light commercial vehicles and minibuses will pay 185 for a single journey and Rs 275 for a return journey within a day. A monthly pass for 50 single journeys will cost Rs 6,100. The existing rates are Rs 175, Rs 265 and Rs 5,890. </p>.<p>Trucks and buses will pay Rs 370 for a single journey, Rs 550 for a return journey within a day, and Rs 12,265 for a monthly pass. The existing rates are Rs 355, Rs 535 and Rs 11,845. </p>.<p>The increased toll charges will affect all travellers, whether they travel by cabs, personal vehicles or public transport (Vayu Vajra bus services). </p>.<p>Cars and other light motor vehicles using the 42-km Dobbspet-Doddaballapur stretch of the STRR will pay Rs 110 (single journey), Rs 165 (return journey), and Rs 3,615 (monthly pass) at the Hulikunte toll plaza. The existing rates are Rs 105, Rs 155, and Rs 3,490. </p>.<p>Cars and other light motor vehicles using the 34.15-km Doddaballapur bypass-Hoskote stretch of the STRR will pay Rs 85 (single journey) and Rs 125 (return journey) at the Nalluru Devanahalli toll plaza.
