Unable to get a job, a 36-year-old MBA graduate committed suicide by hanging at his friend’s house in Yelahanka on Sunday night.

The victim Santhosh Kumar, a native of Bagalkote, had come to the city in search of a job.

According to the police, Santhosh had come to the city a week ago and stayed in a rented room at Vijayanagar. He attended an interview but later learnt that he was not getting the job.

He was under depression for not getting a job even after doing his post-graduation. He sent his luggage to his native on Sunday morning. In the afternoon, he came to his friend Rudrappa’s house in Allalasandra, locked himself in a room, the police said.

Rudrappa and his mother called him for dinner, but there was no response from him even after repeated calls.

Later, when they peeped through the window, they found him hanging from the ceiling and alerted the police.

The Yelahanka police have registered a case.
