<p>A daily wage labourer was killed in a mud collapse while laying a sanitary pipeline of the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board at Shivanna Layout in Rajarajeshwari Nagar on Wednesday.</p>.<p>Madivalappa Gowda (26) alias Muttu from Jevargi taluk died on the spot while his coworker, Sharana Gowda (35) escaped with minor injuries.</p>.<p>Four labourers were working when the mud caved in around 3.30 pm. Three of them managed to escape. But Madivalappa was stuck deep inside the mud.</p>.<p>A passerby rushed to their rescue and alerted the fire and emergency services.</p>.<p>KBR construction, a private company, has been given the contract to lay the pipeline and it started the work a month ago at the Padmavathi Marriage Hall.</p>.<p>Madivalappa had come to the city two years ago and was living at Mutturayana Nagar in a rented house with his wife Nagamma and three-year-old son.</p>.<p>RR Nagar police have registered a case and are conducting further investigation.</p>
