Leader of Opposition R Ashoka said that it was not appropriate for the Speaker to allow ruling party pass bills in the absence of Opposition on Wednesday evening.
Speaker U T Khader asserted that he prevented the ruling party from passing the Prohibition of Violence Against Advocates Bill, but allowed only passage of finance Bills. “Next time, it will not happen,” the Speaker said.
