The State police, he said, will not seek the help of any central team and there is no dearth of  police force. However, he said that the para special force is ready to help, if the situation prevails. He appealed to the people to not to pay heed to any rumours.

On the occasion, the DG launched ‘Complainants/ Victims Day’. The programme conceived by the State police henceforth enables complainants to seek information related to the status of investigation on third Sunday of every month. He announced a reward of Rs 500 for those who bring to his notice cases of police stations not having display boards bearing the contact numbers of the officers, that has been made mandatory for the benefit of the public.
He also launched the programme of police stations adopting one area each for the period of one year.
