<p>H D Kote: The carcass of a 46-year-old male elephant was found on Thursday at the Metikuppe Wildlife Range of the Nagarahole Tiger Reserve in H D Kote taluk, <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/mysuru">Mysuru</a> district. Forest Department officials confirmed that the elephant had died of natural causes. </p><p>Foresters who were patrolling the Metikuppe range found the body of the elephant, and immediately alerted their superiors. </p>.109th Ramanavami music festival begins on April 6 in Mysuru.<p>Forest Department veterinarian Dr H Ramesh, and Chief Veterinary Office Dr B B Prasanna performed the post-mortem on the elephant.</p><p>Nagarahole Tiger Reserve Director P A Seema, Assistant Conservator of Forests S D Madhu, and Metikuppe Range Forest Officer M R Rashmi visited the spot where the carcass was found, and inspected the site.</p>
