<p>Rani (55), her son Kumar (37), daughter Neela (35), son-in-law, Swami Kannan (40) and grand children Lata (18), Rajan (11) and Netra (10), of Nadupatti village in Salem district of Tamil Nadu are the labourers.<br /><br />They started working at the quarrying units owned by Jagannath in Thoppanahalli and Krishna of Hallikere, after taking an advance payment of Rs 70,000, three years ago.<br /><br />It is said that Kumar had his hands and legs tied. He was confined in a house at Thoppanahalli.</p>
