‘Cattle trader died in assault, not heart attack’

The post-mortem report of cattle trader Husseinabba, 62, has been submitted before the district and sessions court here. The report claimed that the death was due to attack with blunt force attack, which caused severe head injuries and haemorrhage.

Sources in the court told DH that the case was purely murder and not heart attack.

The case pertaining to the death of Husseinabba has been transferred from the CID to the police. Superintendent of Police Lakshman Nimbargi told DH that the move follows orders from the Home department.

The CID team will arrive in the city soon to take over the case, he said.
